I was recruited by the Telenor project group in September 2012 to take part in the creation and launch of a new mobile provider in the Norwegian telecom market. The timeline was ambitious and the scope was extensive, yet the team delivered the full solution with a very close margin ahead of the public launch on January 29th 2013.
My responsibilities covered the entire digital experience. I owned the website from concept to completion, which included developing initial ideas, creating sketches, defining specifications and managing delivery of the final product. The scope reached beyond the main site and included the company blog, self service solutions for end consumers and digital tools for mobile administrators in business accounts.
I managed backend developer consultants to ensure high quality implementation and alignment across all technical surfaces. In addition to this I worked as senior frontend developer and delivered the majority of the frontend code. The role also included leading concept development and usability design, with a focus on creating an experience that was clear, efficient and scalable.
Following the launch I continued to oversee development and maintenance of the website, the self service solutions and other web based communication channels. This ensured continuity as the service matured.
The company later merged with Talkmore and became Talkmore Bedrift. The work carried out during the intense build up to launch provided a strong digital foundation for the brand as it evolved.
